Steam Jet Air Ejectors

Overview

Ecolaire® M Jet Series Steam Jet Air Ejectors are extremely simple and economical forms of vacuum pumps that use the ejector action of high-velocity steam to create a vacuum. The air or gases to be evacuated enter the ejector suction, are entrained by the jet of steam, and are then discharged through the throat. The velocity of kinetic energy is converted into pressure, thereby compressing the mixture to a lower vacuum (i.e., a higher absolute pressure). Depending on the degree of vacuum desired, one, two, or three stages are used to complete the compression to atmospheric pressure.
